Trump says he doesn't expect attorney Michael Cohen to 'flip'

Donald Trump says lawyer Michael Cohen won't betray him

Stormy Daniels' Lawyer Says He Thinks There Are

According to the Times, "Mr. Trump's lawyers and advisers have become resigned to the strong possibility that Mr. Cohen, who has a wife and two children and faces the prospect of devastating legal fees, if not criminal charges, could end up cooperating with federal officials who are investigating him for activity that could relate, at least in part, to work he did for Mr. Trump".

So, Michael Cohen is "a fine person" but is in "trouble"?

Now, the New York Times correspondent Maggie Haberman - who was also a target of Trump's Twitter abuse - has offered her analysis. Haberman responded with a tweet that linked back to her story and took a jab at Trump's misspelling of her name. "Sorry, I don't see Michael doing that despite the terrible Witch Hunt and the dishonest media!".

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents raided NY residences and offices of Cohen earlier this month, seizing files that could bare Trump's past business dealings and expose more about his alleged extramarital relationships in the 2000s.

Things began when Trump attacked New York TimesWhite House correspondent Maggie Haberman.

Trump accused the Times of relying on "non-existent "sources" and a drunk/drugged up loser who hates Michael".

'Michael is a businessman for his own account/lawyer who I have always liked & respected, ' he continued.

Cohen's lawyers have called the raid an assault on attorney-client privilege, and Trump has said it was "an attack on our country".

Nunberg told CNN's Abby Phillip: "I have no idea who POTUS is talking about so I have no response".

Here's the story that seems to have touched a nerve", she wrote in one tweet, which she followed with: "When I was reporting this story, I said one person who's observed the Cohen-Trump relationship that Trump has been abusive to him.

Hers was not the first claim that Cohen might flip. Is Trump admitting Cohen committed illegal acts?

The FBI raid came as special counsel Robert Mueller's probe intensifies its focus on the president's inner circle, as it looks into links between his campaign and Russian Federation and possible obstruction of justice.

'James Comey illegally leaked classified documents to the press in order to generate a Special Council? Really, does everybody know what that means?' he said.
