Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside has been the topic of numerous trade rumors following the team's first-round exit in the 2018 NBA Playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers.

"Ain't gonna be no breaking news", said Wade. "I know you're not going to make any decisions now, but, what thoughts do you have about your future?" At 36, Wade averaged 18 points off the bench for the Heat during this series with the Sixers, including a 28-point performance in Game 2.

After dealing for Larry Nance Jr., Jordan Clarkson, Rodney Hood and George Hill in just over 90 minutes before the NBA Trade Deadline, the Cavaliers sent Wade to the Heat for a heavily-protected second-round pick in the NBA Draft. It was a move that helped the Cavaliers overhaul their roster, but also allowed Wade to head back home and finish what he started, as SB Nation talked more about.

Spoelstra said Wade as a reserve still has legs, if Wade still has the legs for it.

"I don't know going into the summer of my 15th year, turning 37 next year, there's a lot of variables that go into it", Wade told Fox Sports Florida. He rejoined the Heat at the February 8 National Basketball Association trading deadline after spending a season and half away from the franchise of his first 13 seasons, returning following time with the his hometown Chicago Bulls and then alongside LeBron James at the start of this season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Heat got themselves into their own financial mess - they have no cap space available, will pay Tyler Johnson $19 million next season and owe Dion Waiters, who played 76 games in the last two seasons, $46 million over the next three years. "You sit down and you make the best decision for you and your family". He is a damn legend.

Being back in Miami was what Wade had been wanting since early on in the season. He's also been selected to 12 All-Star teams and has been named the Finals MVP once. A tweet from Gabrielle Union after the game ended didn't give much insight into whether or not Wade will play again next year or retire, but given how the playoffs ended for the Heat, Wade might be leaning towards shutting it down.

"I think they grew up and learned some things from us and the way we pushed them", Wade said.

However, his shortcomings were on full display in the playoffs. "Each day that he's been back, I've just been trying to enjoy it".
