Killer Mike Apologizes For Defending Gun Ownership In NRA Video

Killer Mike of Run The Jewels. After appearing in an interview with NRATV the rapper claims his appearance was misused by the gun advocacy organization

The interview, which was reportedly conducted last week, was aired during the same time as the March for Our Lives protests to combat gun violence.

- Killer Mike (@KillerMike) March 26, 2018 On Sunday, the rapper posted two videos saying the interview was done a week prior to the March for Our Lives and that he did an interview with the NRA to discuss topics with people he doesn't always agree with.

"That interview was filmed a week earlier to disparage a very noble campaign which I actually support", he said.

Killer Mike has apologized for his widely criticized NRA interview, by accusing the organization of misusing his interview as opposition towards the poignant March For Our Lives rally. "It's possible to do both", the rapper added.

He's also a Bernie Sanders supporter and political activist.

Students from the Parkland, Florida, high school where 17 students and staff were killed on February 14 will be among the 500,000 people organizers say could rally on Pennsylvania Avenue near the Capitol in Washington.

"I told my kids on the school walkout, I love you, [but] if you walkout that school, walkout my house", he said to NRATV.

He also talked about Dana Loesch, the spokesperson of the NRA, who recently said that the tears of white mothers are like ratings for television.

Responding to a claim made by Hogg over the weekend that not enough black voices are featured in the gun control debate, Noir seemed to praise Malcolm X and the Black Panther movement - liberal activists who stood at the opposite end from the conservative base the NRA is a part of.

The figures follow on from the March for Our Lives protest in the United States, in which hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Washington DC to call for tighter gun laws. While fans acknowledged his relevant points, they disagreed with Mike's choice to partner with the NRA as a platform for expressing them.

Killer Mike has also opened five albums as a solo artist and has previously worked with Outkast. "They're told what to do", he said. "One of them was an accidental discharge from a 3rd grader by touching a guys gun". They stoke fear of guys who look like him, all to sell more guns.

El-P (real name Jaime Meline) and Killer Mike (a.k.a Michael Render) have released three albums together under the name. And that conversation is about African American gun ownership.African Americans have only been free for 54 years. "He knew when he sat down to do that video [that] it was with the NRA, it would be used by the NRA and it would be used to promote a certain agenda that many of his followers and listeners do not agree with".
