Protesters gathered at the same park where a somber vigil was held soon after a school shooting killed 17 people in Parkland Florida but this time the mood was different

"No special interest group, no political agenda is more critical than timely passage of legislation to effectively address the gun violence issues that are rampant in our country", organizers wrote on the event's website. They have also partnered with well-funded liberal groups such as Everytown for Gun Safety, the gun control advocacy group founded by former NY mayor and billionaire Michael Bloomberg.

"We keep saying, 'Oh this is going to be the last time.' But there's already been another time", Renert said.

"It's definitely a blessing that we're all coming together and that we're all fighting through and we're making changes", he said.

The West Michigan students will be joining kids from across the nation in the march.

While at first Bailey thought it was different that a piano tuner wanted to get involved, she quickly dismissed the thought. It's a bold step considering the controversial nature of gun reform in America, but it's obviously the right one.

After hearing about their donation, Oprah Winfrey chose to donate the same amount, claiming "George and Amal, I couldn't agree with you more".
