Roy Moore accuser Tina Johnson 'loses everything' after home burns down in suspected arson
"I am devastated, just devastated", Johnson told Al.com on Friday morning.
Fire trucks respond to the home of Roy Moore accuser Tina Johnson in Gadsden, Ala. Johnson and her husband were at work at the time and her grandson was at school.
Al.com reported that Johnson's home in Gadsden, Alabama, burned down Tuesday morning. "We have just the clothes on our backs".
Witnesses to the blaze said they saw a young man with a history of public intoxication around the house before and during the fire. She said she is thankful for her neighbors, who have been supportive of her family.
TinaJohnson, one of the eight women who accused former Republican candidate for Senate in Alabama, RoyMoore, of sexual misconduct, lost her Etowah County home in a fire on Tuesday. The statement says investigators don't believe the fire is linked to Moore or the allegations against him.
NatalieBarton, a spokeswoman for the Etowah County Sheriff's office, told the Daily News that the local arson task force is investigating the blaze and that authorities are speaking to a person of interest.
In November, Johnson gave a detailed description of how Moore allegedly molested her in his office in Gagsden in the 1990s when she went to him for his legal expertise during a custody battle over her son.
Moore has denied the women's charges and refused to concede to Jones even after the election results were certified by the state. She was 28 at the time. Most of the allegations against Moore related to behavior with teenage girls in the late-1970s.
