'HE WAS MY HERO' | Dylan Farrow details molestation claim against Woody Allen

Why are Hollywood's famous men refusing to condemn Woody Allen?

Dylan Farrows talks molestation allegations as more celebrities distance themselves from Woody Allen

The "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" star appeared opposite Emma Stone in Allen's 2014 movie "Magic In The Moonlight", and he has become the latest star to publicly rebuff the 82-year-old filmmaker, the same day that Dylan Farrow gave her first televised interview accusing her adopted father Allen of sexually assaulting her. Firth said: "I wouldn't work with him again".

Oscar victor Colin Firth, who starred in Woody Allen's 2014 romantic comedy Magic in the Moonlight, has joined a growing chorus of stars who have turned their back on the director.

Selena Gomez, who stars in his upcoming film "A Rainy Day In New York" has made a "significant donation" to the Time's Up Legal Defence Fund. Earlier this week, Chamolet said: "I don't want to profit from my work on the film, and to that end, I am going to donate my entire salary to three charities: Time's Up, the LGBT Centre in NY, and Rainn [the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network]".

He's claimed that Dylan was coached by her mother Mia Farrow into making false accusations, prompted by Mia Farrow's anger that Allen was having an affair with another of her adopted daughters, Soon-Yi Previn.

"But even though the Farrow family is cynically using the opportunity afforded by the Time's Up movement to repeat this discredited allegation, that doesn't make it any more true today than it was in the past".

Ms Farrow, 32, repeated in graphic detail allegations that she first made as a seven-year-old girl. "I respected him. He was my hero", she told Gayle King in the interview that aired Thursday.

The Allen boycott could stem from his estranged stepdaughter, Dylan Farrow.

"Woody Allen was investigated forensically by two states (NY and CT) and no charges were filed", Baldwin said Tuesday on Twitter.

Now, suddenly, when it is the popular thing to do, they are outraged and determined to demand justice. "As a mother and a woman, this breaks my heart for you", she wrote. This is something that Farrow has denounced since "more than twenty-five years ago". "My first impulse was that I had done something wrong".

The director is also facing a backlash from industry folk in Hollywood. The film received fairly average reviews, with a general consensus that it was a lesser version of more inspired Allen works of the past.

Call Me By Your Name's Timothée Chamolet will donate the money he got thanks to A Rainy Day in NY. He released a statement via Instagram sharing that although he can't speak about the film due to contractual obligations, he was inspired by the #MeToo movement to take a stand. But what I can say is this: "I don't want to profit from my work on the film, and to that end, I am going to donate my entire salary to three charities: "TIME'S UP, The LGBT Center in NY, and RAINN".

The letter was a big deal back in 2014, when letting survivors push back and go public about incidents of alleged abuse was not commonplace.

Rachel Brosnahan: Though she worked with Allen on the Amazon series "Crisis in Six Scenes", the actress said that she has "struggled" with her decision to do it.
