Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are among the top 5 Indian celebrity earners
The Bollywood's desi girl is the only female to make it to the top 10 of India Celebrity 100 list, as per Forbes. He is on the numero uno position for the second successive year, beating Shah Rukh Khan and Virat Kohli. Shah Rukh came in second while Virat Kohli was the third highest paid celebrity of the year.
Now, all eyes are on his latest release, Tiger Zinda Hai, that is not only expected to do a record making business and gross Rs 200 crore or more. Akshay Kumar with R98.25 crore earnings was on the fourth spot. Virat Kohli now features in the top 3 celebrities in Forbes India list of celebrities.
According to the list published by the magazine, the total earnings of Salman for the year 2017 stands at Rs 232.83 crore which constitutes 8.67 percent of the total earnings- Rs. R 2,683 crore-of the top 100 celebrities of the year.
"Dangal" star Aamir Khan had to be satisfied at 6th position with the income of Rs 68.75 crore whereas the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni dropped from his last year's position to number eight. He is followed by Shah Rukh Khan, who has earned INR 170.5 crore this year.
The CEO of Forbes India commented on the list and said that they had changed the method of calculating the earning, and based them on what the celebrities earned in a year, than on how famous they were, internationally or nationally. On the other hand, the Bollywood actors list fall down from 35 to 33, lowering their cumulative income by 13 percent from the a year ago. Khiladi Kumar retained his position at number 4 while Sachin Tendulkar jumped to 5th position with his Rs 82.50 crore revenue. This year he is at the sixth position defeating Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh.
Actresses Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, who ventured towards Hollywood early this year, are ranked at number 7 and 11 respectively.
