Marcus Peters tosses referee's flag into stands

Darrelle Revis is expected to make his debut with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and it will fittingly come against the New York Jets at Met Life Stadium

Peters then walked himself to the locker room, perhaps under the impression he had been ejected, and the Jets were able to successfully convert on their next two-point attempt.

Marcus Peters was just flagged for throwing a flag into the stands. We'll know more after the game.

The entire Kansas City Chiefs defense took their lumps all day from the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, giving up numerous third-and-long conversions and making Josh McCown look like one of the NFL's best quarterbacks.

In a major surprise, middle linebacker Darron Lee was listed as one of the Jets' inactives for today's game against the Chiefs.

The finish marred what had been a promising start for Kansas City and its offense.

The Jets added a pair of field goals and the Chiefs found themselves in a 30-24 hole early in the fourth. Explosive plays, something the offense sorely missed over the past month and a half, came in bunches.

The defense's inability to contain journeyman quarterback Josh McCown (26 of 36, 331 yards and a touchdown) and receivers Jermaine Kearse (nine catches, 167 yards) and Robby Anderson (eight catches, 107 yards) opened up a middling running game that averaged just 3.4 yards per carry but provided enough balance to be risky. The second-year player has been up and down versus the run this season and struggled in space against the pass.

Hill gained 185 receiving yards in addition to the two scores, both of which set career bests. He jogged back to the field with less than two minutes remaining.

The secondary got beat for a 79-yard touchdown pass from Smith to WR Tyreek Hill.

The Jets, meanwhile, travel to Denver to face the Broncos next week.
