Huddersfield's win over Man Utd on Saturday was their third of the season
Manchester United comfortably beat Swansea 2-0 in the League Cup but it was the academy products who grabbed the headlines.
The Red Devils suffered a surprise 2-1 loss to Huddersfield Town at the John Smith Stadium on Saturday afternoon following first-half goals from Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoitre.
Jesse Lingard netted both goals as Manchester United got back to winning ways following their shock defeat to Huddersfield last weekend.
"The kids are always the kids so when they play it is nice, it is good, when they perform well it is even better", Mourinho told MUTV.
"I'm disappointed with the second goal also, because I wouldn't say Lingard is well known for getting into the box and heading it, and our two centre-halves are in there, so we have to do better there".
Mourinho put United's defeat in west Yorkshire down to a "really bad attitude" and said he could not explain Herrera's remarks.
Manchester United are looking to win the Premier League title for the first time since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson guided the Red Devils to their 20th top-flight crown. "It was good. We were solid, we were comfortable, we were in control". I chose to play with three because Victor was not coming with his confidence levels very, very high, so I made a decision to play both with the experience of Smalling and we were ok.
Jose Mourinho's side had gone unbeaten in their opening eight Premier League games, and were expected to continue that streak away at Huddersfield on Saturday.
"But I think we have got some very good feelings back now and this is what we need to face Tottenham".
