Sixers point guard Markelle Fultz has had a tough start figuring out how to stay healthy and on the court.

The 76ers said Fultz will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

Ben Kibler of the Shoulder Center of Kentucky and two Major League Baseball team doctors, the consensus opinion on Fultz's shoulder is that there is no structural damage.

The 76ers decided to make Fultz the No. 1 overall selection in the 2017 #NBA Draft, taking him over a host of other players with high ceilings. His right shoulder has been sore for a while now and upon examination, it was revealed that Fultz has a muscle imbalance. Ben Kleber who serves as Medical Director of the Shoulder Center of Kentucky at the Lexington Clinic.

Dr. Kibler confirmed that there is no structural impairment to Fultz's shoulder. A report by ESPN has just relayed the news that Fultz is out indefinitely with his shoulder injury. Fultz never looked right to begin the season and it's not a surprise to see Philly take a cautious route with the No. 1 pick. Finally, Ben Simmons missed the whole of his rookie season due to a Jones fracture. The Sixers initially announced Wednesday he would miss three games and be reevaluated this coming Tuesday.

Fultz has appeared in four games this season, all off the bench.

T.J. McConnell has already shown great use of Fultz's minutes at point guard, and it's likely McConnell will continue to play an increased role while Fultz is in recovery.
