Man Utd ace Romelu Lukaku will be closest challenger for Sergio Aguero in Golden Boot race

Thierry Henry makes prediction about Zlatan Ibrahimovic's return at Manchester United following Romelu Lukaku heroics

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has encouraged his players to remain "humble" as they look to take control of Champions League Group A by beating CSKA Moscow on Wednesday.

"But this season is different because I started playing well and the connection and understanding with other players, especially [Romelu] Lukaku, is great and I hope we can score many goals in the coming games".

Mourinho claimed Fellaini was "lucky" he was not injured for longer, but that he doesn't expect the Belgian global to be out for long, on account of the upcoming worldwide break and his country's qualification for the Federation Internationale de Football Association 2018 World Cup Russia.

Former Manchester United running gag and current Manchester United squad lynchpin Marouane Fellaini has reportedly picked up an injury.

"But we try not to focus on individual battles on the pitch, we are going to have a team with quality and balance to try to win the match, which is the objective".

The trio of Paul Pogba, Michael Carrick and Maroune Fellaini will be absent in the game against CSKA due to injury.

"First of all, let me make it clear, that normally we bring here players that are starting the match the next day", said Mourinho.

Meanwhile, CSKA Moscow are sitting third in Russian Federation, four points behind leaders Zenit, already losing three times from the 11 games they have played.

The United boss admonished his side after the 3-0 win over Basel earlier this month in their opening Champions League match, claiming they stopped being professional having gone 2-0 up early in the second half. "Hopefully he'll be back for us".

CSKA manager Viktor Goncharenko played down the significance of United's absentees, but he thinks his side can cause Mourinho's men problems.

United have met CSKA on four previous occasions in the Champions League group stage, winning twice and drawing twice during the 2009/10 and 2015/16 seasons. They've got to achieve things - they've got to win the Premier League again for a start [something United last did in 2013].

Jose Mourinho tells #MUTV Phil Jones will also miss Wednesday's #UCL meeting with CSKA Moscow.

The Russians opened up with a shock 2-1 win at Benfica, which goes to show that they aren't amongst the also-rans in this competition this season.
