While several celebrities were all praises for Deepika's look from the film, the social network had a confused response. Ranveer Singh plays the negative role of Alauddin Khilji, the second Sultan of the Khilji dynasty.According to Padmavati, Khilji led the invasion motivated by his desire to capture Rani Padmini. It'll be interesting to see what she has to offer in her upcoming film. Some are speculating that the image might be photoshopped, yet Deepika's royal avatar as Rani Padmani looks divine.

Padmavati will bring to screen one of the most treasured Rajasthani folklore.

Sharing the poster on Twitter, Deepika said, "देवी स्थापना के शुभ अवसर पर मिलिए रानी पद्मावती से (On the auspicious day of Navratri, meet Rani Padmavati) #Padmavati @FilmPadmavati".

If rumours are to be believed then Ranveer Singh will be romancing Jim Sarbh in the period drama, "Padmavati". Sporting a unibrow, Deepika is seen heavily bejeweled, giving out every aura of the quintessential Rajput queen. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movies have always been a visual treat and this surely looks like another blockbuster in the making. Ranveer Singh plays the role of Alaudin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor plays Deepika's onscreen husband Ratan Singh in the film.

It's the first day of Navratri and Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a ideal gift for not only his fans but also Deepika Padukone's fans.

The movie which was supposed to be released on November 17 also got a new release date, December 1.
