Ahead of the Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk at the Etihad Stadium, here are a quartet of points to consider. Between the 9th and 16th of September, the Manchester side scored 15 goals, with none conceded.

The hunger for goals and the quality of them has been remarkable.

Shakhtar Donetsk travel to the Etihad on Tuesday night hoping to continue their winning start in the competition against Manchester City.

Shakhtar countered and found plenty of space in the final third, allowing Marlos to curl a shot from the edge of the box that Ederson saved at full stretch, diving to his right. Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus up front are a lethal combination and with De Bruyne, the pair of Silva's, Sterling providing the amunition from midfield this is a side thats built to win.

One thing is for sure, whoever plays will be under pressure to maintain the standards!

Danilo will likely come into the squad at left back if Mendy isn't deemed fit enough to play while Nicolas Otamendi, John Stone and Kyle Walker retain their places in the starting lineup. Shakhtar haven't found much success when playing in England, however. The guys can quickly adapt to new tactics, they are technical.

He is just coming off of scoring a brace against Zirka Kropyvnytsky and while most of the attention will be on his far more illustrious and experienced compatriot leading the line for his opponents tonight, it will be interesting to see how the 26-year-old copes against world class opposition. They've lost five of their six away matches against English sides and their only positive result came against Tottenham in 2008-2009. They have to play good.

City might be in fine form, but Shaktar are flying too.

Shakhtar arrived at the Etihad Stadium unbeaten in nine competitive games and their contingent of Brazilian players made life hard for City, with Taison, Marlos and Bernard depriving the hosts of the possession they have become accustomed to enjoying this season.

Dortmund have won three and drawn three of their meetings at Signal Iduna Park, including their dazzling 4-1 first-leg win in the 2013 Champions League semi-final when Robert Lewandowski scored all four goals.

One of City's biggest problems last season was that they were not clinical enough.

David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne have been firm fixtures but even they are well aware of the need to stay on top of their games.
