Iran Captures, Kills Islamic State Members Responsible For Terrorist Attack Last

Implications of the ISIS Attacks in Tehran

"You [the United States] and your agents are the source of instability in the Middle East ... who created Islamic State?" Major General Mostafa Izadi, deputy chief of staff of Iran's armed forces, said Sunday that the government in Tehran had "documents and information" showing Washington's support of the extremist Sunni Islamist group.

Khamenei has made several statements denouncing the United States since the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, while U.S. President Donald Trump has spoken out against Iran in harsh terms since taking office, indicating that he will reverse the previous admistration's attempts at rapprochement with Tehran.

Izadi, however, did not present any tangible proof to support the claims.

Iran repeated accusations that Saudi Arabia funds Islamic militants including Islamic State.

The top Iranian diplomat also exchanged views on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini at Oslo Grand Hotel.

He said this could be along the lines of the 1975 Helsinki accords - agreements signed during the Cold War to reduce tensions between western and Communist nations.

"Exerting pressures and military aggression are wrong choices for settling regional disputes", Zarif said during the meeting in the Norwegian capital on the sidelines of 2017 Oslo Forum on Tuesday evening.

Riyadh has severed its diplomatic relations with Iran.

While acknowledging that the stance of the current White House administration on the deal's future "is not very promising", Jarif argued that since the deal involves several parties, they will not let the USA sabotage what took their common efforts to seal.

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) group claimed responsibility for the twin attacks that killed 17 people and wounded dozens.

"Some of the problems with the USA are essentially unresolvable as the US's problem with us has nothing to do with nuclear energy or human rights, their problem is with the principle of the Islamic Republic", added the Leader.

According to the Al Arabiya report, number 12 on the Saudi list of terrorists is a man responsible for the funding of terrorist organizations in Yemen.

The comments sparked an immediate backlash from Iran.
