Rolf Harris To Be Released From Prison
Rolf Harris has been released from prison after spending nearly three years behind bars.
FORMER TV STAR Rolf Harris has been released from Stafford prison in the United Kingdom, nearly three years into a five-year sentence for indecent assault.
The TV entertainer is now on trial on four counts of alleged indecent assault against three teenagers between 1971 and 1983 - but has been appearing via video link.
Despite reports only last week that the earliest he would be released was June, Judge Deborah Taylor yesterday granted Mr Harris bail.
The former entertainer, 87, will be released on bail as he faces a fresh trial over alleged indecent assault offences.
He is separately accused of twice groping a third girl, aged 16, after being paid £100 to appear on ITV celebrity show Star Games in 1978, and telling her she was "a little bit irresistible", the court heard.
Harris denies four counts of indecent assault.
"I do feel strongly that men like Harris shouldn't get away with it".
