PS3 Production Officially Ceases in Japan

PlayStation's Turkish Twitter feed posted this now deleted tweet yesterday, highlighting new titles coming in June, highlighting Killing Floor 2 and Life Is Strange.

On the other hand, "Killing Floor 2" is the sequel to the first-person shooter game that was first released for retail in 2009.

This news came out just after the official announcement of Life is unusual 2 by the Dontnod Entertainment.

Life is Strange PS4: "Follow the story of Max Caulfield, a photography senior who discovers she can rewind time while saving her best friend Chloe Price".

"The pair soon find themselves investigating the mysterious disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber, uncovering a dark side to life in Arcadia Bay. Meanwhile, Max must quickly learn that changing the past can sometimes lead to a devastating future", read the game's official description.

Until Sony announces the new batch of games, PS4, PS3 and PS Vita players with an active subscription can still download the announcing PS Plus May 2017 games. Were you satisfied with the PlayStation 3 era?

Sony has ceased manufacturing of the PS3 in Japan, the company today confirmed.

The PS3's idiosyncratic Cell microprocessor-powered architecture also hampered adoption: performance of multi-platform games was frequently worse on PS3 than on the Xbox 360, which had launched a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the games on the PlayStation Plus Free Games List for May are now available for download.

All the PlayStation Vita fans can still have access to Laser Disco Defenders and Type: Rider via the Cross-buy feature. Our Redditor didn't elaborate on how they came by this information, but I would assume he works for a video game retailer of some sort. They might have revealed the full PlayStation Plus lineup for the month of June 2017 ahead of the Europe and North American PlayStation Blog.
